We broadcast Church over a conference bridge. By default, everyone in a conference is not muted however for church you probably don't want that. Here is how to make your conference muted by default.

This is the default configuration file of the default conference bridge 6400. The default is found in the file named: /etc/asterisk/extensions.conf.

[conference_6400]
exten = 6400,1,ExecIf($[${MEETME_ADMIN}=yes]?Set(meetme_admin=aAY):Noop())
exten = 6400,2,Set(meetme_opt=${IF($[${LEN(${meetme_admin})}>0]?${meetme_admin}:Y)})
exten = 6400,3,MeetMe(6400,Msn${meetme_opt})
exten = 6400,4,Hangup()
exten = fax,1,Goto(inrouter_${INROUTERNAME}_fax_detect,fax,1)

To mute all participants by default, modify it like this

[conference_6400]
exten = 6400,1,ExecIf($[${MEETME_ADMIN}=yes]?Set(meetme_admin=aAY):Noop())
exten = 6400,2,Set(meetme_opt=${IF($[${LEN(${meetme_admin})}>0]?${meetme_admin}:Y)})
exten = 6400,3,MeetMe(6400,Mmsn${meetme_opt})
exten = 6400,4,Hangup()
exten = fax,1,Goto(inrouter_${INROUTERNAME}_fax_detect,fax,1)

vi /ysdisk/support/customcfg/extensions_custom.conf

Copy and save the above content inside, save and do apply changes on web, then it works.
