Distinctive ring tones allow you to have different ring tones for your internal and external calls. In fact each inbound route that you've setup on the Yeastar S-Series can have its own ring tone set. It makes it easier to determine who is calling you before even looking at the phone.
How To Configure Distinctive Ring Tones on Yealink Phones and the Yeastar S-Series

Set a different ring tone for internal and external calls with Distinctive ring on Yealink phones. Using the Yeastar phone system, different tones can be set for each inbound route so support calls can ring different from sales and general calls
You'll need to set up a tag for the distinctive ringing in each of your inbound routes. These can be different tags for each route or all the same if you want the ring tone to be the same. The second step is to place that same tag in the Yealink phones to trigger the special ring tone. The ring tone you choose is also set in the Yealink phone and you can change it there.
Setting the distinctive ring for each phone can be very labour intensive and a lot of work. You may prefer to set these ring settings once for all of your phones. This is possible but not using the Yeastar interface as it doesn't expose these parameters. You can create acommon configuration provisioning file that has these settings and will apply to all your Yealink phones.
